challenge #103: that thing with feathers

Write exactly 100 or 200 words about your chosen Buffy or Angel-verse character(s) experiencing that metaphorical 'thing with feathers', aka hope. Or, alternately, encountering a literal feathered creature. Or a thing with feathers attached. Or ... well, use your imaginations! Any crossover is welcome, but please post each drabble behind a cut, and tag appropriately.
